LanHelper is a multi-purpose network utility. It integrates various tools that allow you to administrate remotely the computers from a network. The program offers various network scanning methods (scan IP, scan LAN, scan workgroup, etc.) It was also designed for network monitoring and analyzing. LanHelper was especially designed for network administrators but it can be used by any user.
Although LanHelper is supported on all popular Windows version, certain features do not work on Windows Vista or higher versions. While trying to send a network message to a remote computer, I received an error message stating this aspect. Moreover, the application crashed repeatedly when accessing the Event Viewer. It is a new feature included in version 1.99 of the program, but it still needs a lot of work to be done.
The graphical user-interface of LanHelper is very intuitive. It displays the list of all the computers from a network and offers access to various tools like: remote shutdown, event viewer, registry editor, remote execute, send message, computer explorer, etc.
An important feature of LanHelper is the Scheduler. It allows you to set up any operation that you want to be made on a network computer at a specific moment of time.
I liked testing LanHelper and I kindly recommend you to give it a try.
